Leipziger Frauenfilmfestival (Women´s Filmfestival Leipzig)

The audience was sent to hot and cold baths at the Women´s Filmfestival Leipzig. The movie Shortcut to Justice - empowernd and full of hope - crashed hard against the deeply moving and terrible description of the situation in Congo, given by Im Schatten des Bösen (In the Shadow of Evil).
But festival-leader Inge Bell, who was also moderating the discussion with the moviemakers and the audience, perfectly succeeded in tieing together these threads. That´s why all participants could experience an impressing event.

This question was the engine of an enageged discussion between the directors Daniel Burkholz and Sybille Fezer and the audience. Unfortunately it was not possible to find the answer.

"The Brigadistas will leave us, but Burholz` movie will remain", Franz Lindentahl wrote last year in the Neue Rheinische Zeitung. But even Mr. Lindenthal didn´t think, that this would happen so quickly. Many of the men and women, we had the possibility to meet two years ago in Barcelona, died in the meantime. The last living Brigadistas where now honoured in Barcelona with the presentation of the documentary movie Brigadistas.
We are glad that we could give something back to these men and women who made an important contribution to the realization of Brigadistas.
